Information we process

Our hosting provider receives ordinary technical request data such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time so it can deliver and protect the site. We do not ask you for personal information on a normal page visit.

Services and purposes

Vercel

Hosts and secures the public website.

Sanity

Stores site content. Public pages receive published content during the site build; ordinary visitors do not use the Sanity editor.

Fathom

Provides aggregate, cookie-free website analytics. Bescy does not load Google Analytics. The Tally forms currently load Google reCAPTCHA separately, as described below.

Tally

Provides the community signup and volunteer forms. Bescy preloads the relevant form in the background so it opens promptly. This connects your browser to Tally before you choose to open it, and Tally may receive ordinary request information. The current forms also load Google reCAPTCHA. In a clean launch-candidate run, the Tally and reCAPTCHA frames created local or session browser storage before either form was opened. Tally describes its practices in itsprivacy policy.

Luma

Provides the events calendar embedded on the Events & Groups page. Visiting that page connects your browser to Luma, which may receive ordinary request information. A clean launch-candidate run observed Luma and Cloudflare cookies plus Luma-frame session storage. Luma describes its practices in its privacy policy.

Tally and Loops

Tally provides the free-book request forms alongside the signup and volunteer forms; your browser connects to Tally only after you choose a book download. Loops then sends the delivery email with your book link, using only the address you submitted. If you tick the newsletter box on a book form, Loops also adds you to the Bescy mailing list.

Your choices and rights

Tally forms load only after you show interest in a signup, volunteer, or book download action. Luma loads when you visit the Events & Groups page so the current calendar is visible there. You may ask what personal information Bescy holds about you, request a correction or deletion where applicable, or object to its use.

Retention and contact

Bescy retains information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, legal obligations, and security. Provider-specific retention follows the applicable provider settings and terms. Contactprivacy@bescy.org with a privacy question or request.

The preloaded Tally forms and the Luma calendar may create third-party cookies or other browser storage when they load. You can avoid the Luma connection by not visiting the Events & Groups page, but the signup form currently preloads on pages with site navigation. Contact us if you need a way to access either service without loading its embedded form or calendar.
